First TCM product in China to be awarded the “Products of Designation of Origin and Geographical Indications of the PRC”.
　　 Gulin Gansu has been listed under the Protection List officially by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China. This made Gulin Gansu the first TCM product in PRC to receive such protection and recognition. The brand “Gulin Gansu” cannot be used without authorization and other entity or individuals are not allowed to forge the logo or sell the product.

What is “Designation of origins” protection system?
　　Products with qualities, characteristics or prestige essence that resembles the uniqueness of the place of origins, making use of the local herbs and manufacturing in the place of origins are classified as the “Products of Designation of Origin and Geographical Indications”. Entity and individuals are forbidden from forging the logo and selling the products which have received such protection and recognition without proper authorization. Currently, there are approximately 30 different types of products in PRC that have received such protection and recognition and they includes Shaoxin Wine, Guizhoumaotai, Longjing tea leafs and etc.
